Lindsay’s passion is in helping all movement levels achieve their day to day goals. Whether being able to stand up from a chair, walk your dog, run a marathon, or become a professional dancer, Lindsay will do what it takes to help you achieve those goals pain free.
Lindsay Thompson began training in the GYROTONIC® Methodology in 2007, due to dance injuries. As a living testimony to the healing powers of the system, she began teaching in 2009. Lindsay teaches throughout the United States as well as abroad.
Lindsay is a certified GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® Pretrainer. She is also certified on all 4 pieces of the specialized equipment. In addition she holds certifications in Dancer Application 1 & 2, the Therapeutic Shoulder Girdle, pelvic girdle and scoliosis, Hands and Feet Rejuvenation, and Level 2 Pretraining.
In 2018, after spending extensive time with her husband in the gym, Lindsay decided to obtain her NASM Personal Training certification. Since becoming certified Lindsay has helped a range of fitness abilities enhance their fitness programs by giving a new look on working out based on proper alignment and anatomically sound movements. Lindsay provides accountability, motivation, and variety, creating personalized workout plans.
Lindsay started her pre professional dance career at Idyllwild Arts Academy as a full time boarding school student. She went on to receive a BFA Magna Cum Laude in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts. Upon graduation she joined the Alvin Ailey Independent Program. She then went on to perform on a freelance basis with companies throughout NYC. In 2015 Lindsay moved to Colorado, where she has performed with 3rd Law Dance/Theater as well as Nosilla Dance Theater.
